Two quick-release rotors (no tools needed) are included in the VWR® Mini Centrifuge: an 8×1.5/2.0 ml rotor and a 32×0.2 ml PCR rotor that can hold four eight-place PCR strips. The device swiftly accelerates to 7500 rpm (3200 rcf) when the lid is closed. When the lid is opened, the rotor decelerates smoothly and rapidly, stopping in less than a second.
